About the Chambersburg Athletics Hall of Fame
The Chambersburg Athletics Hall of Fame was established to honor and preserve the rich tradition of athletic excellence within the Chambersburg Area School District. With a history that includes state championship teams, standout student-athletes, dedicated coaches, and influential contributors, the Hall of Fame serves as a lasting tribute to those who have shaped Trojan athletics.
The Hall of Fame initiative formally took shape in 2023, when a committee was formed to recognize the many individuals and teams whose accomplishments had gone without a permanent, unified honor. The effort reflected strong community support and a shared belief that Chambersburg’s proud athletic history deserved formal recognition.
The first induction class was celebrated in September 2024, marking the official launch of the Hall of Fame with a weekend of events and recognition during a Chambersburg football game. Since then, the Hall of Fame has continued to grow as an annual tradition, honoring athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors who exemplify excellence, leadership, and the spirit of Trojan athletics.
The Chambersburg Athletics Hall of Fame is a collaborative effort between the Chambersburg Area School District, the CASHS Athletic Department, and the Chambersburg Area Sports Boosters, reflecting a unified commitment to celebrating the past while inspiring future generations.
About the Chambersburg Area Sports Boosters (CASB)
The Chambersburg Area Sports Boosters (CASB) is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation, incorporated in 2005, created to serve as an umbrella organization supporting the various sports booster clubs within the Chambersburg Area School District. The organization received its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status effective August 8, 2005, enabling it to provide centralized administrative, financial, and operational support for affiliated booster clubs.
CASB was formed in response to the continued growth of the district’s athletic programs and the need for a structured, transparent, and compliant system. By providing a single federal identification number, tax-exempt status, and consistent financial oversight, CASB allows individual booster clubs to operate efficiently while ensuring accountability and adherence to state and federal regulations.
The organization also plays a vital role in promoting equity and transparency, particularly in alignment with Title IX expectations, by helping ensure consistency across all sports programs. Through shared resources, consolidated reporting, and standardized governance, CASB reduces administrative burdens while maximizing the impact of every dollar raised in support of student-athletes.
Today, CASB continues to serve as a foundation for Trojan athletics—supporting booster clubs, fostering community engagement, and advancing opportunities for all student-athletes. Guided by its board of directors, the organization remains committed to inclusion, equity, and excellence across all dimensions of the Chambersburg athletic community. We manage 20 booster clubs and oversee $500k+ annually in financial support.
